JazzArts Charlotte Continues Free Latin Jazz Youth Program

Charlotte, NC – Launched in Spring of 2022, Nuestro Tiempo Latin Jazz Youth Orchestra kicks off another
academic year this month, bringing local students together in celebration of Latino culture, with the goal
to connect communities and teach life-long lessons through music. Students, grades 7-12 are

bandleader/arranger/composer/pianist – Iliana Rose, and Afro-Cuban drumming and Latin Jazz Music
specialist, Johnny Vegara, along with other notable Latin Jazz guest teaching artists.

Weekly sessions will be held Tuesday evenings, beginning September 24 at VAPA Center, located 700 N.
