Sunday Afternoons 1:00-3:00pm and 3:00-5:00pm
REGISTRATION FOR SPRING 2025 IS NOW OPEN!
This applied program offered to students in grades 7-12 who want to continue improving their individual skills within the context of a small jazz ensemble. The 12-week (2-3 hour) sessions provide students the opportunity to grow their individual skills within a supportive and relaxed ensemble environment, with a concentration on exploring jazz styles, standard repertoire, jazz improvisation, and history.
The ensembles bring students together from a variety of backgrounds and skill levels to create a fun and motivating applied learning experience. Workshop participants perform for community events, including an end-of-session public concert. The workshops are open to ALL instruments including vocals.
Placement Auditions
Auditions January 19, 2025
Students grades 7 to 12, with at least one year experience in a school band or private lessons, are welcome! Four skill levels are offered, and auditions are held for placement at the appropriate skill level.

Tuition
$375 for the full fall session (includes $20 non-refundable registration fee)
Financial Aid is available for up to 90% off the tuition. The deadline for the financial aid for the Spring 2025 session is January 12th. Please call 704-334-3900 or email info@thejazzarts.org to register if you are applying for financial aid, as you will not be able to complete registration online.
If you are registering multiple children, please contact Education Director, Patrick Brown, at pbrown@thejazzarts.org to receive a purchase code for a “sibling discount.”
JazzArts Charlotte also offers payment plans. The payment plan allows you and your family to spread your tuition due across two or three payments over the course of the term. If you are interested in this option please call our office at 704-334-3900, as you will not be able to complete registration online. The deadline to apply for financial aid is September 8, 2024.
Payment and Refund Policy
Tuition is due at the time of registration unless applying for financial or requesting a payment plan. Full payment may be made by check, money order or credit card. A full refund will be granted up to one week before the first program day – minus a $20.00 registration fee.
