Jazz Appreciation Month is here and we’re asking you what jazz means to the community of Charlotte.

After over a year of planning and prepping in the midst of COVID, the VAPA Center, JazzArts Charlotte’s new home, has finally officially opened its doors. The Open House was teaming with hundreds of artists and supporters, demonstrating the commitment the Charlotte community feels to the arts.

Anything that brings people together across boundaries, delivers pure ecstasy and pisses off Nazis is my kind of music.
