Here is a look at what our 2024 JazzArts Academy seniors are up to next. Congratulations to them all.

Charlottean and JazzArts alum Sean Mason is a familiar face to local supporters who watched his musical growth over the past decade. Last week he took some time while on his “When You Wish Upon a Star” tour to talk about the roots of his new album, The Southern Suite, which releases on October 27.

In catching up with a few of the All-Stars, we hear an echo of our own state of mind, and can capture a sense of encouragement. They each describe this summer as a combination of relaxing and revealing.

“Of all the things we are mproud of in the past 10 years, our students are at the top,” indicates Lonnie Davis. After all, the future of jazz rests in their hands.

October 10 years ago, JazzArts Charlotte became official by electing its first Board of Directors. These individuals tell a story of dreams and determination.
