WFAE, June 3, 2019 — Charlotte has a wealth of talented musicians and a vibrant music community. But some local leaders would like to make Charlotte a music destination.

The industry has had its share of obstacles with popular venues like Tremont Music Hall and The Double Door Inn closing. And a recent study found that most Charlotte musicians consider themselves freelancers and only 15 percent make music their full-time job.
