JazzArts Charlotte included in 2022 Charlotte Business Journal Book of Lists
December 23 2021 — Charlotte Business Journal, by Laura Williams — JazzArts Charlotte is thrilled to be recognized in the Charlotte Business Journal’s 2022 Book of Lists, as one of Charlotte’s largest arts, science and history nonprofits.
Since the first program twelve years ago, JazzArts Charlotte has earned its place among the arts nonprofits that strive to make a substantial difference for the music community of Charlotte.
“This recognition means so much,” says Lonnie Davis, CEO and Cofounder. “It demonstrates that the Charlotte community values the expression of one of our nation’s truest art form, jazz. And that we understand the importance of jazz in a vibrant city.”
While all arts communities took a hit during the pandemic, JazzArts Charlotte has followed the path of jazz: improvising and reinventing to continue to bring the community together, whether students, musicians, or audiences.
Success now is being able to reengage our audience in a way that lets us know they are being fulfilled.
JazzArts Charlotte is incredibly proud to be working side-by-side with this list of esteemed organizations working to build a better city. Enjoy these profiles by Charlotte Business Journal on JazzArts Charlotte and other exceptional local nonprofits.
