Harlem-based vocalist Allan Harris re-imagines the elegant vocal stylings of Nat King Cole that so typified the music of the 1940’s to 1960’s.
Nat King Cole set the standard for cool during his time. His trio was the model for small jazz ensembles that followed. In addition, he recorded over one hundred songs that became hits on the pop charts. He was the first African-American man to host an American television series on NBC in 1956.
Allan Harris burst on the jazz as one of the most exceptional vocal interpreters of Jazz of his time. In addition to 14 recordings as a leader, he has performed around the world from Jazz at Lincoln Center in New York, and Washington DC’s Kennedy Center, to the 2012 London Olympics, and a many prestigious bookings in Europe, The Middle East and Asia.
